A previous EDS analysis of another specimen from this locality, also collected by Bob Wilken, supported the fergusonite-(Y) identification.The small Na response in this earlier analysis is believed due to an epoxy embedding contaminant. |

Epidote confirmed by EDS analysis, (BC377, set27). Not a smidgen of manganese (Mn), an essential element for piemontite, was detected, (4 spots on 2 grains probed). |
